Mick Haley is an amazing mentor. I was his graduate assistant coach in 2011-2012, during that time he allowed me to ask questions and learn closely the ins and outs of his program, the importance of being a lifelong learner and that a coach can have an amazing family life too. He was a hands-on mentor teaching me how to talk with people, plan for the program as well as practices, and how to build culture. His open lines of communication and love for the game, the program and his family were why he was successful year after year. Even after I was done coaching for him, he kept in touch continues to mentor and coach me to be strong and confident for the women I now lead.
